I love sharing real life weddings. They are a great way to get inspiration for your own wedding. This time we’ve got a sneak peak of Mika and Perry’s wedding which is planned for November this year. It’s looking gorgeous and Mika has promised us a second blog post after the wedding. Thank you Mika xx
Mika and Perry met on the catwalk when they took part in a charity fashion show whilst at university training to be doctors. Mika is half Taiwanese and whilst on holiday there for Perry to meet her family he arranged to go to the top of Taipei 101 to propose, and popped the question in front of all of her family in one of their private dining suites.
Beauty and the Beast is one of Mika’s favourite childhood movies and she has always dreamt of capturing it in her wedding. She is planning an intimate, fairy tale wedding and, embracing her love of crafting, has created lots of pieces herself including the centrepieces, invites, order of the day/welcome board, table plan, stickers, menu’s, name cards, long and low table arrangement, wedding post box, table numbers and confetti.
Here’s a couple of the items Mika has made. I for one am super impressed and can’t wait to see the rest of the wedding.
Mika’s top tip for other couples is:
“Be organised and make sure you do your research! Make spreadsheets, lists etc to help with organising and sort everything into folders. Have mood board folders and search Pinterest for the best inspiration photos! Tips for brides on a budget: keep an eye out on websites like eBay, Amazon, Facebook marketplace and Depop- you never know what bargains you might come across!”
Thank you so much for sharing with us Mika. I hope you and Perry have an amazing day. Can’t wait to see all the photos.
